A residential tower, metro station and shopping centre creating visual identity to Niittykumpu area
The Niittykumpu Centre is located next to the new metro station and includes, in addition to a compact shopping centre with access to the metro and a parking facility, two residential apartment buildings were built.
The taller landmark-like residential building has 24 floors and 200 apartments, and the lower one has 12 floors and 94 apartments. Additionally, a covered pedestrian and bicycleconnection under Merituulentien was included in the project.
Sarc + Sigge architects was responsible for the planning of the project from the city plan phase to implementation. The project was a pilot project for the city of Espoo on setting the environmental classification goal for the planning phase
