Architecturally and culturally historic hotel building
A major renovation was carried out in 2006. A parking garage was also built under the hotel courtyard. The hotel building, located on the banks of the Aura River, is architecturally and culturally historic and is protected by the city’s zoning plan.
The Marina Palace Hotel was originally completed in 1973. The hotel was of a high standard in terms of its services, architecture, and interior design. A public architectural competition was held in 1970 to design the hotel, which was won by architects Jaakko Rantanen and Unto Rantanen.
