A historic quarter comes to life
The site plan change of the Kaartin Lasaretti block includes the renovation of three protected buildings, alongside the extension and alteration of a structure originally completed in the 1940s. The wooden buildings along Hietalahdenkatu will be moved and a new building with office and retail space will be built. In addition, a large underground section with business and parking facilities is planned for the block.
The total scope of the site plan change is 20,200 GFA, of which 11,000 GFA is new construction. SARC has been responsible for the site plan change and is also responsible for the main and architectural design of both properties being renovated and the new buildings.
