Ilmatar Headquarters – Enso-Gutzeit building

Delicate interior renovation of a 1962 landmark building by Alvar Aalto

This office building designed by Alvar Aalto was completed on a prominent site by the South Harbour in Helsinki city centre in 1962. We designed the renovation of the 4th and 5th floors for Ilmatar new headquarters.

The design challenge was to respect the original designs by Alvar Aalto and still inject the new look for the client.
